China Insider Tours is a small, locally-based travel studio. We don't resell packaged group tours — every itinerary on this site is designed by people who live here and walk these streets every week.
We started in Nanjing because it is the most underrated city in China for international visitors: six hundred years of city wall, a Republican-era old town, Purple Mountain tombs, and arguably the country's best food city that almost no foreign guidebook covers properly.
